We have all seen thousands of pictures from the same historic places or monuments on social media. Instagram is a visual platform, and it’s not a secret that people are far more likely to take and share pictures if there is something “shareable” around them.

Adweek presents four types of Instagram bait, as they call it, that works well:

1) Having a sign outside your office, restaurant, store or place of business has become a lot more important in the digital age. If you succeed in having a unique signage, you encourage people to take pictures and post them on social media.

2) People love wall murals in big cities. Try thinking outside the box when it comes to your brand and the opportunity to create your own wall mural. Like the “I Believe In Nashville” mural you can see in the pictures below.

3) It cannot be a surprise that people love breathtaking views and especially taking pictures of them. If your brand logo somehow can be a part of a great view, you will be frequently featured on Instagram.

4) The last one is flashy advertisements. If you make something that stands out, people will notice it and maybe even share it on their own social media.

Think about it for a second… What’s your brand’s Instagram bait?
