Giant heads are mysteriously popping up in the streets of New York and LA. Installing replicas of your head to build hype seems to be good business.
We can’t help it. As humans, we’re just fascinated by disproportions. No matter if it’s a photo of the world’s largest pizza or the prehistoric megalodon shark (5 times the size of a great white).
Designer Rick Owens understands this better than most when he installed a 150 feet tall sculpture of himself above Selfridges in New work. Travis Scott also installed a mega version of his head around Los Angeles 5 days before his album release with the same giant head on the cover.
